IMPACTS

40% of Bodaway residents lack access to potable water in their homes. Moonshot Missions partnered with Hidden Springs Mission to provide a treated water filling station for better access to water for rural residents. Moonshot secured the funding for this project.

Moonshot Missions also partnered with the University of Illinois School of Engineering to provide engineering design support using a contextual design methodology to develop a system of providing non-potable water to livestock in the grazing lands that fits the needs of the community and can be sustainably operated and maintained.

Bill Manning, Director of Hidden Springs Mission

"It was a pleasure to have each of you spend a few days with us.  We truly love having you visit - both for the work you are doing and the time we get to spend together. You are amazing individuals. We can not thank you enough for all that you are doing in our community.  I so appreciate your hard work, determination, and steadfastness. It is such an encouragement to me and will be a real benefit to Bodaway."
