Stephanie Torres
Utility Advisor
Stephanie is a Utility Advisor who builds collaborative relationships with utility leaders to develop financially and technically sound strategies that improve water systems. Before joining Moonshot in 2020, she served as a Regulatory and Compliance Engineer III at the Maryland Department of the Environment, where she conducted sanitary surveys, evaluated treatment plant performance, and led the Maryland Area-Wide Optimization Program to enhance drinking water systems across the state. She specializes in regulatory compliance and hands-on technical assistance, particularly for small and rural communities, with a focus on utilities in the Western US.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys attending concerts with friends and family, staying active, and hosting a women’s book club in her community. A fun water fact she wants to share is that tap water in the U.S. is subject to stricter regulations than bottled water!
