Lionel Puhuyesva

Senior Utility Advisor

Lionel is a Senior Utility Advisor who helps Tribal communities improve their wastewater treatment facilities by optimizing their existing systems and identifying opportunities to upgrade their capabilities and infrastructure. He brings 20 years of specialized experience providing technical assistance and effective communication with Tribal communities, and joins us from the Bureau of Indian Education and Director of Water Resources at the Hopi Tribe.


Lionel is a member of the Hopi Tribe and located in Arizona, where his favorite Havasupai Falls are located. Camping, fishing, and hunting are among his favorite pastimes.
