Kevin Young

Kevin is a Utility Analyst who brings his background as a water treatment operator to understand utility needs from a technical perspective and help communities improve their water services. Working as an operator in a rural mountain town meant being the plumber, electrician, pump mechanic, compliance sampler, and the person called in the middle of the night when a water main broke. Through these experiences, he developed strong technical skills along with deep experience in compliance schedules, Lead & Copper Rule requirements, water conservation, and funding research.

Kevin is drawn to the water sector because it is dynamic, ever-changing, and filled with smart, forward-thinking people tackling new challenges every day. When he’s not working, you can find him in the Colorado mountains—racing bikes, backcountry skiing, trail running, or camping.
