Katie Powell, PhD

Katie works part-time as a Communications Specialist for the Great Lakes Protection Fund team, developing an online community for the PRESERVE cohorts and amplifying Moonshot’s story.  She is also an Assistant Professor of Professional Writing at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in service-learning courses that blend hands-on experience with research-driven communication. Her eight years of teaching and professional work focuses on writing, web development, visual design, and branding.

Katie is dedicated to telling the "story" of the people since water is vital to our future – and she loves to tell a story!
