George Hawkins, Esq.

George is the Founder and CEO of Moonshot Missions, where is the strategist and spokesperson for the amazing people who have joined the collective effort to secure clean water for people in every community. He served as the CEO  of DC Water, where he is most proud of helping the lift up the organization in the eyes of the people of the region as a creative enterprise determined to excellent service and clean water. He is an accomplished public and non-profit leader with 39 years of experience in areas such as environmental law, the Clean Water Act, and across Washington DC, New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts.

He believes that water is both the essence of all life on earth and the measure of its health and wellbeing, and is motivated daily to preserve and protect clean water for all living things. George’s passion for water began as a child growing up on lake Erie, knowing something had to be done about the dead fish and orange foam on the beaches.
