Alonso Harris
Utility Advisor Research Intern
Alonso Harris is a rising junior at Princeton University studying Chemical and Biological Engineering, with a concentration in Energy, Sustainability, and Environmental Technologies, and minors in Urban Studies and Materials Science. His academic work integrates engineering, environmental systems, and urban planning through interdisciplinary coursework and projects focused on how technical systems interact with the built environment to address complex environmental challenges. In the summer of 2025, Alonso participated in a global seminar with the One Health Trust in Bangalore, India, where he examined the impacts of climate change on agriculture and food systems while engaging with researchers and policy experts on sustainability solutions. With an interdisciplinary background spanning engineering, environmental policy, and urban sustainability, Alonso is excited to contribute to mission-driven environmental work at Moonshot Missions.
AJ enjoys exploring cities and learning about urban planning and infrastructure systems, hiking, outdoor activities, rollercoasters as well as F1. I play flag football. Gardening is a another hobby of his - in fact, AJ has a lemon tree in his room that he takes outside during the summer.
